浅草に夏の訪れを告げる「ほおずき市」が7月9・10日に開催しています。昨日、何も知らずに浅草散策していたところ、浅草寺がなにやら賑わっているので覗いてみたところほおずき市をやっていたので、かわいいほおずきを購入してみました。

久々に浅草散策をしよう！と繰り出してみましたが駅が超混雑。
全国の老若男女が浅草に集合したかのよう・・・
そして多くひとが鉢植えを持っているのです。
何？と思ってみてみるとその正体は「ほおずき」。

では早速、雷門をくぐり抜けて浅草寺本堂目指して仲見世通りにいざ出陣！
久々に仲見世通りを歩きましたが不思議なお土産がたくさん売っていますよね～
提灯なんて誰が買うんだろう・・・？と思いながら直進し、
まずは本堂で“幸せ””長生き”を祈願。

本堂を抜けると、ほおずき売りの出店がいっぱい！
何でも約250件ものお店が軒を連ねているのです、すごい。
気になるお値段はどこのお店で買っても1鉢￥2,500（税込）。

早速、威勢の良いお姉さんがいるお店で購入してみました。
My-ほおずきを披露！！

まだ赤い実がついていないのですが、お楽しみはこれから。
出店のお姉さん曰く「9月頃まで赤い実がなって楽しめる」とか・・・
しかもこのほおずき、風鈴もおまけでついてくるのです！
涼しげな音色が「日本の夏」を演出します。

さて、このほおずき市は 「四万六千日（しまんろくせんにち）」と呼ばれ、
浅草寺の「功徳日」にもあたり、この日（７月10日）にお参りすると「四万六千日分（１２６年間）、
日参したのと同様の功徳を得られる」との言い伝えがあるんですって。

ん、7月10日にお参りするとだって？
私がお参りしたのは7月9日、1日早まった!!!
あ～私が祈願した“幸せ”はまたお預けか～～。悔しい！
